Elite Sports Tours had a unbelievable time in Detroit this past weekend for the Toronto Raptors at Detroit Pistons Bus Tour down to Detroit, at Little Caesars Arena. We had multiple bus loads of passionate Toronto Raptors fans enjoy the ultimate basketball bus trip experience in Motor City. It's always great to see some familiar faces on the trip, with fans who have traveled with Elite Sports Tours before on other bus trips.
Everyone enjoyed the bus ride down the 401 with some movies, trivia, prize giveaways and jersey raffles for a throwback Toronto Raptors Vince Carter or Tracy McGrady jersey. We had bus pick up locations all across the GTA in Whitby, Toronto, Burlington, Kitchener and London.
One the bus tour arrived in Detroit, we headed to Buffalo Wild Wings for our official Elite Sports Tours Pre-Game Party from 3-5 PM. Our guests fuelled up for the big game with tasty appitizers, delicious wings and ice cold beverages. BWW was gracious enough to host our pre-game party in the upper level private room to give our guests a better chance to meet and mingle with other die hard Raptors fans.
Once everyone was filled up, it was time or the buses head to the arena! Some lucky fans had an opportunity of a lifetime with a true "Elite Experience". 20 of our guests we're able to head down on to the court and give their beloved Toronto Raptors high fives before taking on the Detroit Pistons.
The only thing that could have capped off a perfect day was a Toronto Raptors win, but unfortunately for the North faithful, the Detroit Pisonts came out victorious with a 112-107 overtime win. Despite the loss, all the fans were treated to a fantastic basketball game with both teams putting on a great show at Little Caesars Arena.
The night wasn't over once the buzzer sounded at the end of the game as our guest had the opportunity to head down to the after court and take a free throw. We couldn't think of a better way to finish off such an amazing day in Detroit!

Elite Sports Tours had a great time in Montreal this past weekend for the Toronto Maple Leafs at Montreal Canadiens game at the Bell Centre. We had over 200 passionate Leafs and Habs fans enjoy the ultimate hockey road trip experience in La Belle Province. We were lucky enough to see some familiar faces on the trip, with fans who have traveled with Elite Sports Tours before on other trips.
Everyone enjoyed the bus ride up the 401 with some movies, trivia, prize giveaways and jersey raffles for an authentic Leafs and Canadiens jersey. Our guests spent two nights in downtown Montreal at either the Intercontinental Montreal or the Novotel Montreal. Both hotels are located in the heart of downtown, close to the Bell Centre.
On Friday night, Elite Sports Tours hosted a "Montreal Kick-Off Party" at Somwhr Liquor Lounge to start the weekend off with some celebratory drinks with some of our travel guests.
On Saturday, Houston Avenue Bar and Grill Victoria Square graciously hosted the Elite Sports Tours Pre-Game Party from 4-6 PM. Our guests fuelled up for the big game with Happy Hour drink and appetizer specials. The entire bar was filled with Leafs and Habs fans, decked out in red, white and blue, ready to watch an Original Six showdown.
We had a great time filling up Houston Avenue Bar and Grill Victoria Square amongst fans traveling with Elite Sports Tours. Our group had a few hours before the big game between Toronto and Montreal to eat some delicious food and have some beverages, while making some new friends. It was great to see so many people from the bus tour show up in their Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens hockey gear, or hockey sweaters as they call them.
Once everyone was filled up, it was time to head to the rink! Fans could not have asked for a better game between the two storied franchises. After 60 minutes of back and forth hockey, the game went into overtime with a score of 3-3. After successfully killing off a penalty in the extra frame, John Tavares potted the winner by beating Carey Price with a back-hand beauty after taking a slick feed from Mitch Marner, giving the Maple Leafs the 3-2 overtime win.

It was an amazing group of passionate hockey fans enjoyed the bus ride down to Detroit with some movies, trivia, prize giveaways and a jersey raffle for an Auston Matthews jersey. We arrived to Detroit four hours before puck drop which allowed everyone to enjoy a pre-game meal and take in the sights and sounds of Motown.
Fans were in for a nice surprise before puck drop, as the Detroit Red Wings honoured legend Red Kelly by retiring his #4 jersey, becoming just the eighth number to hang in the rafters in Red Wings history.
It was an electric atmosphere at the LCA with close to half of the arena being filled with Maple Leafs fans. Danny Dekeyser found the back of the net 2:40 in overtime to secure the victory for the Detroit Red Wings.

Elite Sports Tours had a great time visiting Florida for 4 nights and two hockey games. We had a great group from all across Canada, who traveled to Florida to be part of our hockey road trip experience. Some Toronto Maple Leafs fans flew in from New Foundland, Alberta, Nova Scotia and all across Ontario. We were lucky enough to see some familiar faces on the trip, with fans who have traveled with Elite Sports Tours before on other trips.
A beautiful week in sunny Florida watching the Leafs!
SHERATON TAMPA RIVERWALK HOTEL (DOWNTOWN TAMPA)
We spent two nights in Florida at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk downtown Tampa. The hotel is located in a great location right on the riverwalk and features a beautiful pool and full service bar. We had beautiful weather while our group visited Florida. Our hotel location allowed the group to take a short walk down the river walk directly to Amalie Arena. On Thursday night we watched the Toronto Maple Leafs vs Tampa Bay Lightning in the first of two games on the trip.
Toronto defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first game. Some of the group went out to a local restaurant and ran into several Toronto Maple Leafs players during their visit in Tampa. Fans on the trip managed to get a photo with Auston Matthews, Patrick Marleau and Connor Brown, which made the trip priceless for those fans on their trip.
BUS RIDE FROM TAMPA TO SUNRISE FLORIDA
The next morning our group boarded the bus from the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk for a short bus ride to Sunrise Florida for the second game on the back to back. The team traveled the night before and stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sawgrass Mills, where we were headed for the next two nights! On the bus we did some trivia, prize giveaways and a jersey raffle for an Auston Matthews jersey. When we arrived at the hotel the guests ran into the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Hotel Lobby as they headed over to BB&T Center to prepare for the game in a few hours.
JOHN TAVARES AND WILLIAM NYLANDER WITH TOUR GUESTS
The Toronto Maple Leafs didn't fair so well in the second game, falling to the Florida Panthers 3-1. After the game our group got the opportunity to go on the ice and take some photos, thank to the Florida Panthers. If running into the players on the trip wasn't an amazing experience, we got the chance to go on the ice!
We had such a fun time on this road trip! We look forward to hosting it again next hockey season. If you want to join us on future road trips, sign up for the newsletter to be notified on the release of future road trips.
