Things to Do in Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach Golf

Visitors can soften their spikes at nearly 20 Daytona Beach area courses popular with pros, experienced players and those still learning the links. Boasting two, four-star courses as rated by Golf Digest, LPGA International leads the pack.

Everyone has heard of Daytona Beach, home to the Great American Race and the World’s Most Famous Beach, but savvy golfers love the area for another reason: it is one of Florida’s best and most value-laden destinations.

The area is home to nearly 20 golf courses, a range of accommodations options, highlighted by stunning Atlantic Ocean views, and enough fun off the course to fill a month-long trip.

When viewed through that prism it’s easy to see why Daytona Beach is so appealing to golfers. It all begins on the course, and LPGA International, a highly-acclaimed 36-hole facility with a pair of layouts designed by Rees Jones and Arthur Hills, is the clubhouse leader.

LPGA International - Hills Course

The Hills Course at LPGA International challenges golfers with fairways lined by beautiful magnolia trees and native pines, providing an experience that occasionally stirs echoes of Pinehurst. With no parallel fairways and hardly any homes to speak of, the Hills Course is a 4.5-star design worthy of building a golf trip around. The layout stretches to 6,954 yards, but is a more manageable 6,255 yards from the white tees, which are the most commonly played. No matter where you tee it up, the Hills provides a fair challenge and rewards players that drive the ball well
