Everyone has heard of Daytona Beach, home to the Great American Race and the World’s Most Famous Beach, but savvy golfers love the area for another reason: it is one of Florida’s best and most value-laden destinations.

The area is home to nearly 20 golf courses, a range of accommodations options, highlighted by stunning Atlantic Ocean views, and enough fun off the course to fill a month-long trip.

The Hills Course at LPGA International challenges golfers with fairways lined by beautiful magnolia trees and native pines, providing an experience that occasionally stirs echoes of Pinehurst. With no parallel fairways and hardly any homes to speak of, the Hills Course is a 4.5-star design worthy of building a golf trip around. The layout stretches to 6,954 yards, but is a more manageable 6,255 yards from the white tees, which are the most commonly played.
