When you’re in Milwaukee you need to try the local cuisine. You know, the delicious deep fried cheese curds and the bratwurst, it’s only right. And there may be no restaurant better at serving up these classics than the Milwaukee Brat House. Established in 2008 this restaurant serves Milwaukee’s Best Brat, even being featured in Maxim magazine for that very distinction, as well as local beers! This historic venue celebrates Milwaukee's German heritage well and it has become a must-see for visitors seeking an authentic Milwaukee experience!

The old-school décor at Milwaukee Brat House is fitting for the neighborhood. The restaurant is located in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Westown, an area of Milwaukee that is home to the Historic Old World Third Street, the Milwaukee RiverWalk and even the newly built Fiserv Forum, home of the Milwaukee Bucks. The building that houses the Milwaukee Brat House was built during the industrial revolution in the early 20th century. The history and the architecture of the time has been leveraged to create a unique atmosphere. With a large indoor bar, a front patio that comfortably seats twenty people and a beer garden in the back with a private bar and seating area, the Milwaukee Brat House might be one of the best summer hang outs in the city. Being open until 2:00am 7 days a week, serving beers two at a time to “keep you balanced” and offering a free shuttle to all Milwaukee Brewers home games at Miller Park definitely doesn’t hurt either!

We definitely recommend their Authentic Wisconsin Cheese Curds to start. This Wisconsin staple are white cheddar cheese curds that are beer battered and deep fried before being dusted with Parmesan cheese and served with a side of ranch. Their Fully Loaded bratwurst delicious. Loaded up with sauerkraut, sautéed onions, sautéed red peppers, poblanos, spicy giardiniera, and sautéed mushrooms this brat is quite the meal. Same as their Southsider brat, which is topped with Wisconsin cheddar cheese, jalapeño peppers, and bacon.

When considering where to eat in Milwaukee try Milwaukee Brat House! Always a popular destination for sports fans traveling to Milwaukee for a Milwaukee Brewers game at Miller Park or a Milwaukee Bucks game at Fiserv Forum !
