Broncos Stadium at Mile High, previously known as Invesco Field at Mile High and Sports Authority Field at Mile High, and commonly known as Mile High Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Denver, Colorado. The Stadium is named "Mile High" due to the city's elevation of 5,280 feet (1,610 m). Broncos Stadium at Mile High is the home of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). The stadium opened in 2001 and was largely paid for by taxpayers. The Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse is also a tenant of Mile High. The Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Museum is also located at Broncos Stadium at Mile High at Gate #1 on the west side of the stadium.
