Hermann Park is a 445 acre urban park in located in Houston at the southern end of the cities museum district. Hermann Park is home to many of Houston’s great attractions and some landmarks including, the Houston Zoo, Miller Outdoor Theatre, the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Hermann Park Golf Course. Along with the main draws that are featured at Hermann Park you can also find the Mary Gibbs and Jesse H. Jones Reflection Pool, various gardens, picnic areas and McGovern Lake which is an 8 acre lake within the park.

Opening in 1914, Hermann Park is one of the oldest parks within Houston. Each and every year the park draws over 6 million people to its grounds making it one of Houston’s most visited attractions in the city. At night, the park Mecom Fountain is beautifully lit up at one of the parks entrances. If you are heading over to the park during the day you can go fishing or rent pedal boats at McGovern Lake or of course head to the Zoo or play a round of golf.
