The SAP Center at San Jose is an indoor arena located in San Jose, California and is the home of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, where it earned it's nickname “The Shark Tank.” It is also home to the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League. The current capacity for hockey is 17,562 and can expand to 19,190 for concerts. When the arena first opened in 1993, it was originally called "San Jose Arena". The Sporting News named the SAP Center as the fourth best arena in the National Hockey League and claims it could be "the most underrated building and also might be the loudest in the NHL."
