The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is located in Downtown Dallas on the sixth floor of the Dallas County Administration Building, which is the infamous location of where Lee Harvey Oswald shot and killed John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963.  The museum examines the life, death and the legacy of the 35th President of the United States of America, John F. Kennedy. The museum opened on Presidents Day, in February 20, 1989. The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza welcomes more than 400,000 tourists per year on average.

The museums exhibits include historical films, photographs, artifacts, etc. It also features interactive displays that document the events of the assassination, as well as the reports by the government investigations that followed. The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza does a terrific job touching on the legacy of the tragedy. The museum also features a webcam that shows the live view from the spot of the fatal shot.

In terms of the historical films that the museum has within the two most prominent pieces are the Zapruder film which was donated to the Museum in 1999 by the Zapruder family. This video was one of the first-generation copies made on November 22, 1963. The museum is also home to the Jefferies film which was first released on February 19, 2007, it is a 40 second film that shows the tragedy.
