Located only 8 miles from Downtown Charlotte, which is about a 15-minute drive, it is quite easy to get to and from CLT. If you are flying in for a Carolina Panthers, or a Charlotte Hornets game be sure to give yourself some added time before the game(s), traffic around any major airport can be unpredictable and you don’t want to miss being late to the game!

Taxi providers we suggest are City Cab, Crown Cab, Green Cab and Yellow Cab. These companies are evaluated annually by CLT to ensure all taxis adhere to the guidelines set forth by CLT.

•  Ridesharing (Uber/Lyft): Another convenient way to get to downtown from CLT is ridesharing companies. Elite Sports Tours suggests Uber or Lyft. Fares estimates will be provided via the app. You can accept $17-$19 CAD one way. Something to keep in mind Uber X rides are cheaper than the taxis rates, usually. However, if you are interested in taking a different classification of Uber, you can expect to pay a little more. CLT has pickup areas for designated “Ride App '' vehicles. All designated pick up areas are located on the lower level, Zone 4. They are on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level. Keep in mind there is an airport surcharge fee for all rides to and from CLT. This is standard for ridesharing options during airport pick ups and drop offs.

  • Limo & Shuttle Service (Car/Van): There are town car services available to pick you up at CLT and take you downtown. However, this is something you will need to arrange before you arrive. There are multiple local car services in Charlotte so be sure to read the reviews to make the best decision for you. Be Sure to check the CLT airport for a list of companies you can choose from. This is double the amount of time then some of the other options listed. The Charlotte Area Transit System is $4 CAD per person. Buses will run daily every 20 minutes during the week and every 30 minutes on the weekend. They offer many stops near several Center City hotels. Which is the most likely hotel location an Elite Sports Tours Rep will recommend for your Sports Packages.

  • Airport Shuttles: Some hotels in Charlotte offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from CLT for their guests. Be sure to ask your Elite Sports Tours representative about your hotel’s shuttle service, if applicable. Pick-up times can be coordinated by communicating your flight information with your hotel.

For getting to Downtown Charlotte from CLT we recommend either taking an Uber or the Taxis. Uber is an ever-reliable option. It is your most efficient choice and the cost is very reasonable.
